Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora often stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and media. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two of the most notable covers she has recorded. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry announced her new song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement, and being fascinated at the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only for fun or as a means of growth but rather, she must take it seriously. She began to write with her own music. Her inspirations include famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her love for Bjork's style. When her mother told her that the songs she composed might not be famous for her, however, but to encourage individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence to this world, she started playing them on stage. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started making music when she was 9 years old. The family did not know about this until she reached the age of fourteen. It was never a dream to be Aurora. The only thing she loves is writing songs. To her music, is the most efficient means of communicating anything.
