Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her most famous role is Skyler White on her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding supporting actress in the Drama Series. She has also appeared as Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School before her family relocated to Ohio in the late 1970's. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago and worked in theater role for several years. Then she moved to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna's first major character was Arden, in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. Anna continued to be in film and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late the 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler is Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was also one of her characters. Gunn appeared in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. Gunn also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts The Numbered Days series, which made available in 2022. The love story that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and its eventual demise arguably echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of his life.
